My pronouns are she / her. I’m based in the UK (timezone GMT / BST dependent on the season) & am generally a really chill person.

I’m 30+ with over 10+ years of Tumblr RPing experience.

I primarily write in English, but given the nature of the muse & the fact that I'm multilingual, expect some French to creep in - this will primarily occur in ( bracketed comments ) during interactions, which are usually small asides. This style of writing is primarily for my own expansion of the muse, so it isn't necessary for writing partners to match this in any way.

I take a personal interest in the muns that I interact with & will be trying my best to read up on your muse & rules.

I’ve predominantly RP’d in groups over the years & have formed long term friendships with muns. I’m looking for RP partners who are as enthusiastic about their muse as I am.

Please remember that my muse & I aren’t the same person! We don’t necessarily share the same views or reactions to situations.

I enjoy RPing as a means of escape & tend to spend a fair amount of time researching topics to augment world-building & character portrayal. That doesn’t mean that I perceive my version of events as the be-all & end-all - I love seeing other muns’ thoughts & renditions of characters & settings.

I’m really hoping to keep any OOC drama to a minimum so please respect that.

I’ve put together some information about him. For those unfamiliar with my muse (or if you would like to know more about him) I highly suggest giving these pages a read as they provide a comprehensive idea of who he is.

The primary / main verse that I default to is Sanji's animanga verse. However this can alter dependent on the muse I'm writing opposite. See verses page for more details.

This muse is canon divergent & will continue to evolve as I read more of the One Piece manga, but I’m open to both canon & canon divergent threads & verses.

While there's an element of violence in the world that my muse belongs to, I wouldn’t ever impose that in a thread without prior discussion & consent.

This is a roleplay blog established in 10 / 2023. It is a private blog, so I will only be threading with mutuals.

I don’t necessarily follow back all followers as I’m somewhat selective & tend to look at a person’s writing style as well as whether I feel that there’s scope for our muses interacting. Please don’t take this personally.

OCs & multi-muses are welcome to interact. While my character is primarily based in the One Piece verse, I'm developing a number of other verses & I’m very open to interacting with characters from other fandoms.

Please only interact with my character if you (the mun) are 18+ as the idea of RPing with a minor makes me somewhat uncomfortable.

I don't mind a few likes of posts here & there, or for questions to be asked of the muse, but please refrain from reblogging my threads as this makes it difficult to keep track of progress with my RP partners. I am a literate RPer & prefer the following thread formats: para & multi-para (& novella with a few select muns). In terms of formatting, this will be an iconless blog, with the use of small text & a bit of bold / italics for emphasis, nothing overly stylised.

All interactions are tagged with a person’s Tumblr handle, & each individual thread is assigned a number (eg. #yoururl, #i: yoururl 01) for me to keep track. I may assign an actual thread title further down the line depending on whether I feel that a thread is important to one of my verses - feel free to peruse your tag if you’re looking to pick up an old thread of ours.

I don’t have any triggers as such but as this blog will feature darker themes, I’ll be tagging my posts which potentially feature any as trigger /. If you follow this blog & there’s anything that you need to be tagged, do let me know - food based aesthetics will feature quite heavily considering Sanji's passion for cooking, but please note that due to the darker nature of One Piece, the following may crop up in threads: discussion of starvation, abuse, neglect, & scientific experimentation.

By default all dynamics with other muses are platonic but please note that while I use various elements of the manga for his characterisation, Sanji will not fully embody erodere tropes that have been assigned to him in the animanga. While he may frequently flirt & be affectionate, he won't persist to a point where it's uncomfortable for the other party (balance is key).

I’m a mature writer & do sometimes write NSFW content. I’ll be tagging posts as such & will be using a ‘Read More’ to keep it from being initially visible on the dash.

Please don’t force a ship & talk to me beforehand if it's of interest. Shipping is entirely dependent on chemistry & while it isn’t my primary reason for RPing… it’s a very nice bonus when plotted as I prefer to build relationships / dynamics (despite the likelihood of Sanji instantly being hearteyes about your muse being quite high).

While my IMs / askbox will be open & anonymous messages will be enabled, I won’t be tolerating any anon hate or toxic content aimed at myself or others.

I surprisingly have a life outside of this blog with a stressful job, so please be patient if I don’t reply to our thread or your message within the same day.

The following varies dependent on his timeline. Sanji possesses the typical personality attributes of an ENFJ-T individual of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (ie. the Protagonist).

Personal mantra: ❝if a man is hungry, I feed him.❞

Compassionate & sensitive to others' needs, he tries very hard to appreciate their point of view. Finding it difficult to stomach forms of injustice / inequality, there's the innate desire to do the right thing when the opportunity presents itself.

Very approachable & sociable with a charismatic air when in a good mood, using the latter to his advantage to effectively communicate & engage with others. He can be incredibly friendly, flirtatious & open-hearted.

Fairly level headed & looks at the larger picture when confronted with a difficult situation.

A supportive & reliable friend, he enjoys engaging in the interests of those he cares about & will exert a higher degree of effort to do so.

Whether with friends or people he respects / looks up to, he is incredibly loyal & gives them the benefit of the doubt even when the darkest of shadows are cast over them.

Very brave & isn't afraid to show his emotions, venturing beyond his comfort zone in search of new ideas & experiences.

Can be stubborn & unwilling to compromise on his principles (especially in terms of justice) which can often cause heated conflicts with others.

Can have unrealistic expectations of himself & others to correct any wrongs that he / they come across, which can have a negative impact on his frame of mind if this isn't how matters progress. While his empathy is a strength, it can mean an overly ardent effort on his part to take on others' problems.

When in a bad mood or challenged (especially by those he doesn't necessarily get along with), he can be considerably condescending & abrasive, being a little harsher with them than with others.

While he appreciates feedback & tries to better himself, he very much takes criticism to heart. Any means of self-improvement comes in steady stages of concerted effort which he can find a little taxing, especially when encumbered by bouts of self doubt & a perfectionist need to get things right quickly / the first time.

While usually confident, he perceives himself in a manner of lower regard among his crewmates, self esteem sometimes negatively fluctuating to a point where he recklessly puts himself in harm's way for the sake of others, deeming himself as being replaceable which stems from childhood trauma.

Falls in love incredibly easily much to his detriment, often placing the person in question on a pedestal before his own needs.

Culinary expertise: cooking is his passion with a lifelong dream to find a nigh mythical location called The All Blue where 4 seas intersect with rare spices & fish residing. He is a self-taught cook since childhood, & subsequently with Zeff's guidance to heighten his impeccable taste for haute cuisine. Sanji can replicate the preparation of any meal provided to him along with pinpointing required ingredients. He later partakes in additional training to master 'Attack Cuisine' with recipes to elevate the consumer's energy & strength, as well as alter temperament.

The Black Leg Style: highly adept at a form of combat taught by Zeff purely consisting of attack & deflection based on strategic kicks & legwork. This method doesn't make use of the hands barring manoeuvres such as handstands as Sanji needs to maintain their condition for the sake of his cooking. It is a combination of French Savate, Brazilian Capoeira & Korean Taekwondo, with some elements of contemporary dance & ballet.

The aforementioned training has resulted in elevated endurance, strength & stamina due to years of partaking in it, which only increased further when spending two years under the tutelage of Emporio Ivankov at Momoiro Island.

Hocho Sabaki (translation: 'kitchen knife method'): during rare instances where combat takes place in a kitchen, prior swordsmanship training as a child & cooking preparation expertise are combined with the consequent use of knives against a foe.

Kenbunshoku Haki (translation: Observation Qi): the utilisation of spiritual energy to process empathy & perceive an opponent's presence, strength, emotions & intension with limited precognition.

Busoshoku Haki (translation: Armament Qi): the utilisation of spiritual energy to create an invisible piece of armour enveloping oneself to provide heightened offensive & defensive capabilities.

Diable Jambe: flames being incorporated into his leg-based fighting style, this being a primary form of strike & subsequent raised tolerance of heat.

Sky Walk: the ability to carry out a series of consecutive leaps midair.

Defensive exoskeletal barrier: its formation is a consequence of his childhood enhancements belatedly emerging at the age of 21, covering large areas of his body. When combined with Busoshoku Haki, Sanji's able to completely withstand damage from most forms of offensive attack regardless of the augmented level of impact.

Mentor & Adoptive Father: Zeff - formerly known as Red-Leg Zeff, captain of the Cook Pirates.

Father: Judge - king of the Germa Kingdom, supreme commander of the Germa 66 army

Mother (deceased): Sora - former queen, ingested a toxin for the sake of her children's welfare

Older Sister: Reiju - princess & mercenary (alias: Poison Pink)

Brothers: Ichiji, Niji & Yonji - quadruplets alongside their brother, princes & mercenaries (respective aliases: Sparking Red, Electric Shock Blue & Winch Green)

Sanji & his brothers were children of prenatal genetic tampering. His siblings had their emotions stripped away to make them more objective & tactical (read: cruel) fighters for the Germa Kingdom's future military plans for expansion to regain territory. While they were enhanced & excelled in physical feats & endurance, Sanji continued to have the physical attributes of a normal child with his emotions intact.

Seen as the runt of the family with each physical test he failed, he was subjected to daily beatings by his brothers who had comparably developed the strength of adults, & hardened tempered skin that could withstand elevated impact.

His father wouldn't intervene as he shared the same outlook that Sanji was a failed endeavour in comparison with his other siblings. Shortly after the death of the children's mother, Judge ordered for Sanji to be incarcerated while announcing to the Germa Kingdom that his son had died in an accident.

He spent over 6 months isolated in a cell in the bowels of the castle, made to wear an iron mask that enveloped the entirety of his head barring his eyes to obscure his features. Upon finding out of his whereabouts, his brothers' physical abuse commenced again with daily beatings in the cell.

Reiju took pity on her brother & helped him escape to board a ship called the Orbit, leading to a confrontation between Sanji & Judge. His father allowed for him to leave the Germa Kingdom with the caveat that his son doesn't reveal that he shares the Vinsmoke name.

Sanji's incredibly passionate about cooking, & yet he has a complicated relationship with food that stems from experiences during his youth.

During the 6 months of his incarceration, his consumption was controlled & limited by the guards as they would need to unlock his mask for him to partake in meals. This came with a heightened degree of uncertainty with food additionally marking the passage of time throughout the day.

Having spent 85 days marooned on an inhospitable island with Zeff & rationing a week's worth of food over the course of those months, that experience of starvation as a child completely changed his outlook on food with a heightened emphasis on its value. It is a privilege that should never be taken for granted or wasted.

The experience with Zeff plays into one of the reasons Sanji smokes as it suppresses his appetite & thus gives him more control to further regulate his consumption. Being a heavy smoker means that his sense of taste is a little diminished hence his cooking being very flavourful to compensate. He favours & ensures that others eat before him.

Sanji had spent the majority of his childhood & teens in primarily male oriented environments. Military & scientific personnel who were associated with & frequented the Germa Kingdom palace were predominantly overtly masculine cis men, alongside his father & brothers. His mother & older sister were two of the only women in his life, showing him kindness in otherwise brutal conditions for a child.

The Baratie restaurant where Sanji lived & worked until his departure with the Straw Hats consists of purely male staff. While it is a comparably welcoming environment to Germa despite stressful conditions in the kitchen, Zeff's penchant of "punctuating a lesson with a kick" means that he was not inclined to have women working at the establishment, perpetuating that violence should never be aimed at them. It's this outlook that forms part of Sanji's inability to engage in physical combat with those identifying as women.

During his incarceration, Sanji spent much of his time reading books, often seeking comfort in fairy tales. They would often comprise of stories portraying princes & knights saving princesses in peril. Given that he's technically a prince by blood & was incredibly impressionable at that age, this shaped his stance of his ongoing 'role' as a protector to others into adulthood.

Experiences varying degrees of arachnophobia & entomophobia which fluctuate based on his stress levels. As seemingly insignificant as spiders & insects are compared to when facing much larger threats, the fear is irrational & purely based on a dislike of their movement.

Philophilia: adores the concept of love. As such, he is unknowingly consistently chasing after that warm fuzzy feeling despite sometimes being unsuccessful in attaining it. Bouncing back quickly from rejection & generally remaining very positive, this doesn't cloud his judgement of the other person, continuing to see them in a very positive light.
